I was born and raised in Missoula, MT where I graduated from Hellgate High School and received a Biology/Zoology degree at the University of Montana. Thanks to my parents, I have always been an avid traveler and in high school I spent a year in Argentina as an exchange student where I learned to speak Spanish.
Due to my experiences traveling and my desire to make a difference, I eagerly jumped on board when Cristina approached me about volunteering in a free spay/neuter clinic in Playa del Carmen during the summer of 2002. My experience there was amazing-not only did I get to put my Spanish to use, I also felt like I had made a difference in people’s lives. Since then, I have returned to Mexico several times with VIDAS and every clinic is as rewarding and challenging as that first summer. After each clinic, I continue to be amazed at what VIDAS has accomplished and am thrilled to be a part of it! I look forward to continuing to participate in upcoming clinics.
Nate and I are currently living in Fort Collins, CO where I will be graduating from veterinary school in May of 2005. We are kept busy by three adorably crazy dogs (Chinook, Sitka, and Reed) and one silly cat (Taper Eleanor Louis).
