For the past couple years Dr. B.C. Robison and his wife Middy have been very supportive of VIDAS. With knowing VIDAS only through our website, they put their faith in us and what we stand for, even having a sign professionally made to hang outside the clinics (a big difference from our original hand-painted one). Therefore, imagine our surprise and delight when they offered fly to Mexico and donate their time at one of the clinics! Thus, the Robisons joined VIDAS for the October clinics in Akumal and Cheymuil Pueblos.
Dr. Robison proved to be invaluable when he agreed to stand outside in the blistering sunshine and perform complete physical exams on all the animals brought to us. Using his Spanish, he was able to communicate with the local pet owners about topics such as treatment for mange, heartworm preventative, and vaccinations. Mrs. Robison is a neonatal nurse in Texas and she was able to bring those crucial skills to the Mexico recovery rooms. She watched the recovering animals like a mother hen, knowing exactly where each animal was located in the room and how close they were to being able to go home, helping the entire clinic process to run smoothly. She also made sure each animal went home tick-free and with clean ears!
VIDAS would like to thank the Robison’s for joining us during our clinics. We appreciate everything you’ve done for us in the past and look forward to working with you in the future!
