Happy Holidays 2003
|
Happy Holidays from VIDAS!!! It has been a good year for us and for the animals. Thanks to the very generous donations of individuals and companies alike we had a very successful year throughout the Yucatan Peninsula. During three different clinics in six different towns we helped over 500 animals.
I would like to take this time to thank all the wonderful people who have helped make our first established year as VIDAS so successful. People from all over the United States and Mexico opened their hearts to the plight of the animals. They, along with the tireless and truly amazing volunteers, are the heart and soul of VIDAS.
We look forward now to the New Year and the work ahead. VIDAS has plans for two clinics, servicing 6 towns in the months of May and October. We will emphasize education and take advantage of the audience we always seem to have in the towns. Our focus will be on the benefits of sterilization and the importance of prevention of zoonotic diseases.
We are in the process of becoming our own non-profit entity which will allow donations to be made directly to VIDAS. For now, we still work in collaboration with Veterinary Relief International. We hope that our sponsors will remember us in the New Year and be a part of the success we will no doubt achieve in 2004.
Thank-you again,
Cristina Gutierrez
President of VIDAS
